The main qualities of Vata Dosha are dry, light, cool, rough, subtle and mobile.
It is the dosha of movement. In balance, you are focused, and can multi-task easily. In excess, you can be nervous, inattentive, ‘antsy,’ and spacey’.
Often Vatas have cold hands and feet and crave warmth. You can have dry hair, skin and fragile bones (think osteoporosis) and feel emotionally ‘dry.’ Vatas are often creative, sometimes introverted and prone to a rich fantasy life.
Vatas are often creative and frenetically active.
Cool and dry foods and weather can increase Vata.
Bergamot is a powerful mood stabilizer and enhancer. It is brightly sweet and induces big smiles; relieving fear, anxiety and depression. It suports brain function and boosts brain power. Deeply nourishing to skin and hair.
Neroli/Pettigrain is a co-distillation of flowers, leaves and twigs of the bitter orange tree. It blends the sweet fragrance of neroli (blossoms) with the pungent notes of pettigrain (leaves and twigs). It is euphoric and sensual. Both neroli and pettigrain are known for calming, centering and uplifting. Very skin friendly, aids in sleep, it's a tonic for the nervous, reproductive and cardiac systems.
Rosewood reduces Vata by combating wrinkling, dryness and dullness of the skin.
It has a balancing and energizing effect on the mind. It ‘opens the inner ear', helping in spiritual realization.
